Located in the heart of Languedoc, near the Mediterranean, the historic town of Pézenas was founded by the Gauls and then colonized by the Romans. In the Middle Ages, it became the commercial and cultural capital of the region, and in the seventeenth century this charming town was for a time the home of the famous playwright Molière and his theatre.

In this region steeped in history, the Montpezat estate perpetuates the ancient traditions of wine-growing. Managed today by Christophe Blanc, its 94 acres have for several generations been entirely devoted to the production of quality wines.
