Located in the heart of Languedoc, near the Mediterranean, the historic town of Pézenas was founded by the Gauls and then colonized by the Romans. In the Middle Age, it became the trade and cultural capital of the region, and in the seventeenth century this charming town was for a time the home of the famous playwrighter Molière and his theater.

In this region steeped in history, the Montpezat estate perpetuates the ancient traditions of wine-growing. Managed today by Christophe Blanc, its 94 acres have for several generations been entirely devoted to the production of quality wines.
